Tap Into Your Potential
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), or tapping, combines elements of traditional Chinese acupressure and modern psychology to address emotional and physical issues. By gently tapping specific points on the body while focusing on a problem or stressor, EFT helps release emotional blocks, reduce anxiety, and promote a sense of calm.

THE DESIGN SYSTEM
Crafting Calm and Clarity
omPoint was founded by Jake Rauchbach, a world renowned High-Performance Mindfulness Coach. We collaborated with Jake and the team at Guidea to design the entire user experience from the ground up. Guidea led the research phase of the project. Based on their findings we created the visual brand identity, custom illustrations, prototypes and the UX/UI for this exciting new mental health app.
Reasearch: Guidea lead the research phase of the project. Through user interviews they narrowed in on the four most common areas of focus that EFT tapping can provide relief for. These four pathways provided the foundation for the information architecture and the design system.
Texture Palette & Typography
The omPoint color and texture palette consists of four hand painted watercolor textures and color shades representing each tapping pathway.
AN INSPIRED DESIGN SYSTEM
Releasing Energy Blocks
A major focus of tapping therapy is releasing energy blocks. While tapping, the person verbalizes the issue they are having. This combination of tapping and verbalizing issues helps to process and release energy blocks. We created a literal intepretation of these energy blocks as hand painted watercolor pebbles and used them as a consistent visual theme throughout the entire experience.
The patent-pending gestural SUDS experience for omPoint. Consistent with the central theme of clearing energy blocks, we designed a delightful and engaging experience for people to report how they are feeling before and after each tapping session. SUDS stands for Subjective Units of Distress Scale and it is a self-reported scale used to measure the intensity of a person's pain, anxiety, or stress over time.
CUSTOM ILLUSTRATIONS
Visualizing Tapping Points
A pivotal aspect of omPoint was creating a clear and approachable way for users to identify tapping points on the body. This required thoughtful exploration of how best to represent the human form while considering inclusivity and comprehension.

Custom Illustrations: Hand-painted watercolors depict various areas of the body—head, arms, torso, knees, ears, and full-body views—providing precise guidance for users. The unique watercolor style added a calming aesthetic that complemented the app’s focus on emotional wellness. The result was a suite of 40+ illustrations that elevated the overall user experience and gave omPoint a unique, ownable visual style.
